"Worst school ever!!! There is NO communication between teachers and parents, unless of course they are collecting money. They are not even teaching the 4th graders Science and Social Studies because the FCAT math scores are so low. So they are omitting core classes. There was not any communication to let parents know what is going on. The principal does not care as she will be retiring soon. She talks over you and never lets you finish a statement. The administration has NO idea what teachers are/are not doing and vice versa. I would NEVER recommend this school to anyone! I would actually give NO stars, but this made me choose one."

"This school is a wonderful school, the teachers are very kind, loving and caring. My children are getting a wonderful education in a small school environment where many teachers know my children on a first name basis. They look forward to school each day which is practically unheard off. Also my children are in the dual language program the English and Spanish. what an incredible opportunity given to them."

"This school is wonderful. This is our first full year. The teachers are well educated and what I have noticed is the hands on approach to bullying. A problem is identified and fixed. Period. I do not however, see alot of parent helpers. That is very sad and the children and the school need parent involvement in order to be the best teaching tool. If more parents were involved, this school would be higher ranked"

"I have to say, so far I love this school. Very small, neighborhood feel. They know everyone on a first name basis. You are allowed to walk your child to class as often as you want, have lunch with them any day you want, and they are thrilled to have parental involvement and classroom volunteers. To me this says that they are confident in their teachers and the overall environment, and have nothing to hide. The schools that shut you out have to make you wonder.... New Horizons is one of Wellington's best kept secrets, and I am so glad I didn't succomb to the Binks Forest pressure of paying a psychologist to say that your child is gifted, just so they can go to an overcrowded school that stops the parents at the front door. Kudos to New Horizons- keep up the good work!"
