"Waco high school is a great school overall. Many people do not think it is a great school because of the kind of kids that go there, but the academics and teachers are good. Whenever you need help the teachers are there to help you no matter if it takes time away from their personal schedule. The academics are good to because we have AP/DC classes and those classes help you out a lot, and if you are struggling with those classes the teachers are always willing to help you. Also, the administration staff is great. They give us students advice that does not just apply educational wise but for reality as well. Even though sometimes they might get on the students nerves they are still patient with us. I especially have had a good experience with our current principal, Ed Love. He greets all of the students in the morning with a big smile and encourages us to do our best and to strive for what we want, no matter what we go through. I would not change schools even if i had to."

"I lived in Waco for all four of my High school years. However this school did have some problems, the test scores were not the best, I did not enjoy having to wear uniforms my last two years of school. However I did make lifetime friends and did enjoy the clubs I was involved in while I was there!"

"This is my last year of high school and I would say my high school experience has been pretty good. We have hard working counselors, an amazing principal that cares about the students and school, and i would say the majority of the teachers are good. One thing that I wish we could change would be our reputation. Everyone that doesn't go to Waco high believe that it is still the horrible, ghetto school like it used to be a long time ago."
