"I had a great experience at Waltham High School. The student population is very diverse. Most of the teachers are great at their jobs and are very helpful, as long as you are applying yourself. There is a good variety of classes offered. The only downside is the horrible technology. There is no air conditioning. The wifi is terrible and the computers are very slow, making it difficult to keep up with technological advances. The building is the oldest in the city. All of the other school in the Waltham Public Schools system have been renovated and rebuilt except for the high school which is unfortunate because it is the most important. Student would be more prepared and more motivated if the building was nicer and had better resources."

"Waltham High School offers a diverse setting. Its students are mostly Hispanic. However, there are a lot of Whites too. I like the school because there are a lot of ways to get involved in the community, like by joining sports, clubs, committees, and other opportunities. The physical building, though, has to be renewed; it is wearing down year by year."

"My overall experience in this school so far is great. As a freshmen last year, I was able to join sports, clubs, and take a range of honors level classes. This year, as a sophomore, I am able to do those things, and much more, such as take an AP English class and join new clubs/sports. In addition, I am able to put my talents in use at the art classes I am able to chose. I have freedom in my decisions at the school, which I was, and am, appreciative of, knowing that not all high school students have the opportunity to do so. This school also offers sports (and other activities) for free, so anyone can join and learn how to play without any financial expenses. As a community, the school is very diverse, which allows me to become open and aware of all the different people, religions, and languages in the outside world. This school is unique because it strives to make everyone in the school one team working together to achieve success. The only thing I would change about the school are the old walls and ceilings. This high school has been in use for generations, with few renovations throughout the years. There is still no air conditioning and there are parts of the school that looks run-down. However, despite the physical appearance, there is a supportive environment inside the halls and classrooms of this school. Its main goal is to help each student eventually reach their own goals."
