"As a former student at JFK, I can say that my experience was a great one. The faculty at JFK does a great job preparing students for life after High School. Guidance counselors are extremely helpful in the college application process, and spend a great deal of time individually with students helping to create course schedules that appeal to one's interests. Additionally, the general curriculum is applicable for college and beyond. I do believe, however that the school can improve the elective courses that are available. I'd like to see more courses that are focused on business and career management, for example."

"I have no idea why this school is rated so highly. The administration is ridiculous. They are lost on big issue's and cover up things that go on in this school. I attended kennedy and while I was there multiple kids were beaten up so badly they were hospitalized and yet the heads stayed silent. The dean allows his wrestling team members to get away with murder while cracking down on kids that are not in athletics. Teachers curse frequently and make many inappropriate jokes. Teachers also allow the so called cool kids to miss class amonst other things. A student that is at this school now just brought to my attention that one of his teachers told him flat out that they did not like him. There are many things wrong with JFK and theyre over looked because of the ethinicity and amount of kids that go to college. The teachers enjoy doin the bare minimum and then upping the grades so theyre satisfactory. Parents make it even worse allowing this just because they're children are friendly with teachers and thus given preferential treatment. This school meets its requirements but does not strive for much more. This is an increasing problem in America and needs to be seen."

"John F Kennedy higschool is a great school, with a great atmosphere and great professors. I attribute much of my success to the teachers that were there while I attended highschool. The teachers that walked the hallways were always more than welcoming and always made time for the students. Professors were not scared to challenge students or offer an alternative view on any idea, situation. Without the right mentors or individuals pushing you to the best of your ability, challenging you and constanly making you think, you never will reach your full potential . And that is what teachers strive for at JFK, they want the best for there students."

"As a working parent, it's important that your children get involved and stay involved after school. John F. Kennedy High School in Bellmore, N.Y. has a wide variety of afterschool programs and above all there are many dedicated teachers and coaches who run these programs, provide plenty of their extra time and encourage the children to get involved. The teachers who aren't involved in extra curricular programs also go the extra mile to offer extra help in order for the students to do well in academic subjects. For example my son has a teacher who is at the school at 6:30 AM in the morning till 6 P.M, at night, offering help to the children who need it. Because of their efforts, many of the children go on to college and stay out of trouble. I think this school is worthy of 'Americas Favorite School' award."
