"Great elementary school, provides a strong fundemental base for the childs further learning. Strong teachers, good administration and strong parent involvement through the PTA. The school is quite large for an elementary school."

"The teachers go above and beyond what is required of them to ensure our children get the best possible education."

"I have quadruplets so I have the unique opportunity to see each grade through the majority of teachers in that grade as my children are all in separate classes. The teachers in Wantagh Elementary School are knowledgeable, creative, loving, concerned, accomodating and hard working. The Principal has earned the NYState Principal of the Year award and deserves every accolade! The Assistant Principal is wonderful with the children and runs a tight ship! The PTA is strong and does great things for the kids and the staff of the entire school. We have mainstream and inclusion students in every grade and a strong related services team. Our administration really listens when our parents voice our opinions and moves quickly to work together utilizing all the available resources. It is a wonderful environment to raise and educate children in!"

"My three children attended the Wantagh School.Their experiences have been wonderful and prepared them very well for the upper grades. The accolades may be outdated, but still well deserved to this day."

"Having had 2 children go through Wantagh School I would like to say we are the same as any other district. You have great teachers and you have bad teachers. If you are more involved with your child and their schoolwork they will do better. As far as 'award winning' these awards are from the early 90's. It's time to either retest the school or stop bragging over an award that is over 15 years old."
