"I was absolutely disappointed with Hayesville Middle School. I went there for 5th and 6th grade and there was no challenge. The "advanced" classes are a JOKE! They are no different from the regular classes except you're like a week or two ahead of them. They have hardly any extracurricular activities and only certain children are able to take another language, which the only one they offer is Spanish. I would have chosen it, but they don't allow you too. The school is horrible and they don't realize the line between GOD and SCHOOL. We sang Christian songs in chorus and this is PUBLIC school. And then when I moved to the northeast schools (WAY BETTER), I wasn't fully prepared. Although I'm caught up now, I'm much happier with the schools in Maryland! Don't go to this school, it's horrible."

"This school is so wrapped up in scoring high on state exams that it sucks the life out of its students. I have heard of students encourage to actually drop out of both the middle school and high school because of their test scores. That was until they got in trouble for a high drop out rate. They have no parent communication until it is too late and your child is failing."

"My oldest daughter goes to this school, she loves it, all except for P.E."
