"I had a child who went to this school. After many discussions with both the principle and the guidance councelor we removed our child from this school. Very long story short....There is no control and clear direction at this school. While we did like the elementary grades and found the middle school acceptable, the high school is lacking in solid guidance. My child went from barely passing grades to High Honors once we moved."

"I graduated in 2008 and am still involved on a part-time basis. The Principal at the time, Mr. Butler, was one of the finest human beings and educators I have ever met, but has sadly since retired. However, the new Principal is excellent as well and cares very much about students and faculty. The school itself is pretty high performing with mostly good teachers (won't deny there's a couple of duds). The main problem is the district itself trying to streamline teaching methods and curriculum for grades 6-12, which leads to boredom in students if they've been doing the same gym class for seven years for example. If the district can move beyond maintaining the status quo and expecting more from students, things will improve. WHS is a Great school all in and all though."

"This school is far better than it was several years ago. Discipline, while always an issue, has stepped up considerably recently, and Mr. Butler and Mr. Clingerman run a very tight ship. The teachers are very good too, and most are willing to help in any way they can. Do they have the bullies and incompetent teachers? Yes, but they're far and few between. I'm very glad that I'll be a WHS graduate this year."
