"Central JHS has improved on a academic level. However, there is little or no availability of extracurricular activities as well as parent involvement. There are still a lot of fights and poor results as to how to solve them. I do not believe a student should be suspended if he/she was only trying to defend themselves; nor, should they be if it wasn't their fault. It's like the victims are now being victimized twice, by the bully then by the school and its (0) tolerance policy."

"NO respect among students, lots of fights, no communication or very little too late from school and teachers to parents. My eighth grader was new and she was shocked and appalled by the school, teachers, and disipline of students. She found that this school is acedemically far behind other schools and don't offer many choices to challenge her. As for the dress code, I didn't mind except if you have a code then it should also include the fact clothes should fit properly not just colors. hope the upcoming year will be better for other students."

"Students don't respect other children and teachers, but teachers are great! Not a lot of sport activities. Bad supervision and disipline on students. Too many fights."

"I believe Central is going through a much needed change beginning this year with an energetic, positive new principal. As a new transfer this year to Central, my eighth grader found herself reviewing the same things she has learned in sixth grade. A positive change was made this year for the seventh grade class; inspiring new teachers that work together and encourage the children to do thier best and focus on hands on projects to keep learning interesting for the children."
