    "unfortunately we did not have a great experience at this school. Im sure it was the teacher (who seemed VERY inexperienced) but i also spoke with the asst. principal who treated me like if he had other things better to deal with. this was my childs 1st year in this school & i thought well if this is pre-k i cant imagine what the rest is like. its like a gamble. you might get a horrible teacher/you might get a wonderful teacher. when it comes to my childs education..NO THANKS! i am so glad my child will not be returning for kinder & i am proud to say my child will be attending idea academy. i also had an incident happen where my childs grandmother had a meeting in the library & went to my childs classroom & my child stepped outside to chat & the teacher did not notice or bother to look up ONCE! He was outside for a good 5-10 minutes. i cant imagine what wouldve happened if my child just walked out of the school. there is no excuse! *NOTE: i am only speaking about my experience. i am sure margo elementary has other excellent teachers but i was not willing to waste another year & find out. i will say that it is great that other parents had such a fantastic experience at margo!"

    "This is an exceptional school. The principal is very professional and compassionate with the children. Mrs. Basaldua (which is my child's Kinder teacher) is a wonderful teacher, as well as, the other teachers who are there. I highly recommend this school to everyone. I am from another district and I have to pay to have my child attend there, but I have no complaints. It is a very good investment in my child's future."

    "Students are drilled on TAKS testing skills daily. Tutoring is available and many incentives for the children to do well are in place. Great library program. Art, music, P.E. classes are outstanding. Parent center has many individuals helping with TAKS banners."

    "This is one of the friendlist school enviroments I have been in. I have two daughters that attend and two other nieces. My family has been attending Margo for years. It isn't one, it is the best elementary school in Weslaco."

    "Margo Elementary is one of those few schools that offer a child an opportunity to a full education. My child has been given rewards for reading and attendance. Since kinder, each teacher has been wonderful with my son and he is proud of his school. He has had a chance to be in a track team with the P.E. Coaches, learned how to play instruments in Music, and has won a savings bond with his drawing made in Art class. They always have fun activities for the kids and are firm but fair with discipline. Hope this helps!"
