"AMAZING SCHOOL... This school is beautiful, immaculately clean with fllors so shiny they look like glass, beautiful bathrooms with real tile not the public school industrial tile... Teachers who truly care and give 200 % to the students.. Discipline, pride and sense of community and faith are instilled in every student. Were considering another CATHOLIC HS in area but this one was the more recommended one and now that my child is their I see why. My child is excelling and absolutely loves the school and loves going to school! Best decision we ever made!"

"This school has totally gone down hill. Four years ago when my first child attended the school was well run and organized. I would have given the school a 4-5 star rating. Now the school is terrible since the old administration left. Kids are disgruntled and frustrated, teachers are inexperienced and insubordinate to parents. What was once a very pleasant environment has turned stress filled and very unhappy. Plus the school is filthy, and I mean filthy. My daughter fears going to gym because of the mold and slime on the floors. Its disappointing but I can not recommend St. John's anymore. We are switching to St. Anthony's."

"My experience in the school was up and down. The school is disciplined and no cell phones, etc. but i think they treated us like grade school kids instead of teenagers about to become adults. I thought I was getting a decent education until I took the ACT/SAT and realized that this school was way behind in preparing me. I had a b+ average and thought that would get me in a top tier school but the fact that it was from a "prep" school didn't matter. I got accepted to a good school, not great and was shocked how behind I was. I would say go here if your public school is real bad but if its decent, go public, its not worth the money and it probably is not a better education either."

"Seriously, this school is not very good. It is not Chaminade or St. Anthony's and it knows it. It has great kids though just too bad the admin treats them like 1st graders. I went there because I live in North Bab and my parents didnt trust that school but I wish I went there. SJB tries to squeeze every penny out of u too, it never stops. I was on track and it cost $300 to be on the team, and the charge kids for dress down day's. Its a disgrace but thats nothing compared to how bad the teachers are. They test like its harvard but teach like its 3rd grade. I hated it but made a lot of friends."

"This school was good. The past principal was able to incorporate a feeling of pride and enthusiasm within a disciplined environment. The new principle can not do that. The balance has swayed to one of absolute discipline without any compassion or care of each students future. The new principal is an over emotional tyrant who doesn't understand why we send our kids to the school. The grading system and the teachers policies make it nearly impossible for students to get grades high enough to be admitted to a good college. 85 in St. John's is a great grade but St. John's isn't Chaminade and the Harvards of the world don't know the difference. If you want your kid to get into a good school, stay away from SJB and save your money. A 95 in public school carries a heck of a lot more weight than an 85 at SJB. Half the teachers are in their mid 20's and they like grading super tough as if it is a sign of a good teacher. STAY AWAY IF YOU CARE IF YOUR CHILD GOES TO A GOOD COLLEGE."
