"On more than one occasion Lewisburg High School has run out of food to serve the students for lunch. Many students were left without lunch. Students who were able to get lunches shared and some students bought food at the vending machines. The school district is not suffering financially and can certainly afford to buy food. However, some families are suffering and for those students, that lunch might have been the only meal that student thought he or she could count on. The school pays Bucknell University $10,000 for every home football game, because they use the university's field, but somehow they don't have enough food for the students to eat. This is just one of the examples of how messed up the administration's priorities are. If you were to ask the principal about the situation, he would deny it, because the only thing he is concerned with is the school's image."

"NOT NEARLY AS GOOD AS IT COULD BE.. Lewisburg gets excellent students and supportive parents. It resembles a suburban school district. The district encompasses the more affluent areas in the general area, and gets a special boost from the Bucknell faculty children and the children of many Geisinger doctors who choose to live in Lewisburg. There are many kids that would do well on tests if told to teach themselves. The school adds less than it should. The classes are not rigorous, and little homework is required. While AP classes are offered, most of the students in those classes are encouraged to not actually take the exam, which hurts the students who could do more if pushed. College admissions are a problem. Year after year, brilliant students that should be heading to the Ivies or equivalent schools get turned down. The school does not seem to have a strong reputation with admission offices, nor does it have counselors skilled at deciphering the process for students and parents. The administrators and many teachers seem not to have been exposed to excellent schools. They are content to be the best school in a backwater, but so much more would be possible with vision."

"My children enjoy Lewisburg High school, it is a small school and kids are able to meet and join in easily which is a must for children who move because of family job promotions."

"I switched high schools to attend Lewisburg. The administration at Lewisburg was better prepared than the other school to deal with issues of diversity, harassment, etc. The academics were far superior to the academics at West Snyder HS as well. For the size of the town and the conservative nature of the area, and compared to other area schools, Lewisburg HS offers the best rounded education a student can get."
