"My child recently finished a second year at Orville Wright, all I can say is this school is absolutely the worst. Most of the students there are all from out of the area on LAUSD's choices program. The office staff is rude, they lack the ability to communicate. My child had one 6th grade teacher who actually tried to change her teaching ways to accommodate, other than that the teaching staff will not bend, I thought the purpose of being an educator was to make a difference, not at this school. This school year there will again be a new principal, the 3rd since last year. I repeatedly went to the school with concerns about my child's education that went ignored, I was instead told how my child is the worst kid at the school, my child is the most disrespectful, etc...another way for the school to deflect from the real problem...which is the fact that this is an under performing school. It is in 5th year PI (program improvement) and the only way to bring it out of PI is to have test scores rise, which this school can not do because they lack a staff/faculty that is willing to go the extra mile."

"I attended this school. I didn't learn a thing. Some of the kids were out of control. I remember there being many kids from out of the area, perhaps with permits? But for this being a magnet school, I saw no challenge in the curriculum. The principal at the time was friendly. The worst part was definitely the lack of discipline in many of the students. But I would assume that children's behavior is guided by good leadership and for some reason, this school didn't have it. It was one of my least favorite memories in school and I've always been one to love and appreciate education."

"My two boys attended this school, all i can say is that the kids are rude, bullies, loud. They waste everyone's time, one of my son's grade drop dramatically that i ended up moving my boys to Santa Clarita withmy ex. One of my boys learn to curse to defend him self. Truly soils the name of Orville Wright."

"There's only 1 word i could use to describe Orville Wright middle school. that word is disfunctional. The administration at the school are very passive, and if you report a problem the first thing they do is; nothing. I am a student at Orville Wright and my two years here have been terrible. In most of my classes the only things I've learned are the definition of most curse words and how to throw a good punch. The students here have no manners what so ever. The only good thing about this school is that the majority of the teachers are very kind and they take the time to help out students that actually want to learn."

"My daughter is a 6th grader and loves it. She leaves for school happy and comes home happy every day. She feels safe and secure there, and I feel good that she is so close to home. I am impressed with her teachers and the future projects she will be working on, very involved and challenging. I had a chance to meet the new principal and I was very impressed with his enthusiasm and motivation."
