"The administration really couldn't care less about the students and the principal only cares about getting more and more funds which is not a bad thing but at least use to funds for something that benefits everyone. A new football field, a gym, and a science center does not benefit everyone. Classrooms with AC, classrooms that should be repainted, or better paid teachers benefits all students. I have heard terrible things from teachers and students and yet no one changes anything. That's how it always will be. Students began to voice their opinion to the higher ups about a certain math teacher who was doing a terrible job and I am 95% certain he will be back next year because nothing ever changes. I really wish I had gone to a different school. The academics are so poorly supported by the administration because they only care about football. There are some alumni teachers who act like children and treat everything like they're teenagers. The only job this school had was to prepare me for college and they couldn't even do that. As I go off to university I feel so unprepared so thanks St. Paul."

"I went to St. Paul for two years and I will never regret the day that I decided to transfer out.I admit that there are a few dedicated teachers that I truly enjoyed having. But, that being said, I've also had some of the worst teachers at this school. The math department is a joke . I had an "honors teacher" who literally taught for ten minutes during each block period and then went to her laptop to finish whatever she was doing. Yes, easy class time but she expected you to know everything on her math test. Not to mention, you lose math skills essential for understanding higher level math. Secondly, there are very few AP classes here, so if you intend to be a competitive candidate for scholarship money and prestigious schools, cross this school off your list. Instead of taking advance courses, you'll be taking religion and lame summer school classes. If you intend to attend a catholic university, then may be religion might be useful. If not, the religion class is useless transcript wise. You don't take science your first year, again becoming less competitive. Some students are nice, but most are shallow. Football teams sucks but nice field. No AC, No heating. Good Luck."

"Great school! There are definite pluses & minuses but that is true of all schools. My biggest gripe is that the students in sports are treated much better than the others. If you play football, the scholarship is in the bank. For example, 8th grade student from our elementary school received a full scholarship when his behavior was horrible & his grades so so. If you are middle class, be ready to pay full tuition. You have to be poor or in sports to get the good scholarships, being Valedictorian or Salutatorian is no help as in the past. NOW THE GOOD! Teachers are great and caring to all (more so to sports kids). Administration team is excellent. Principal Aceves has done so much to try and upgrade the school and it is really starting to show. She is Awesome! My son informed me that he would never go to another school and if we ever ran short of tuition money, he would get a part time job to help pay. He loves the school but he does wish that more attention be given to the students that just do their academics and do it well or just treat all students equally. I think it is the coaches that teachers that really favor the sports kids but all in all, EXCELLENT!"

"My children attended school in the inner-city. They each have excellent work habits. Hence, they've come prepared for the academic challenges of St.Paul. Currently they are both National Honor students.Other than the bias alumni patronizing by certain administrators, the teachers have done a good job. They seem to care about the student. This school needs a major league facelift. The school tends to favor boys athletics over girls. Why no softball field? Poor job of recruiting athletic coaches for wrestling, try Rio Hondo College. Soccer program needs more administrative support. Should also allow more students to take college classes for credit over the summer. Where does the bingo money go? Administration office has AC,but not the classrooms. Financial transparency would be beneficial for all parents."
