"The schools in the Wickenburg District are A and B schools-- top of the state!"

"My daughter is only in kindergarten, but I'm sure she'll do as well in future grades as she is doing now. A caring staff and wonderful surroundings."

"I would like to see more course being offered. We come from a school providing more technology and languages as well as social studies and sciences. The teachers are wonderful, but the school grounds need an improvement."

"Hassayampa excels in teaching reading. Teachers divide students at each grade level into reading groups and use pre-testing and ongoing skill-checking to make sure each K-3 child learns the skills they need to know with frequent interventions to keep students on track. Unfortunately, most of the teachers who received specialized training in this area have left the district to take higher-paying jobs elsewhere. the The PTA has been a silent presence for some 35 years, holding traditional annual fundraisers (i.e. annual book fair, calendar sale, and picture sale) that benefit both the elementary and junior high. Parents will find teachers accessible and easy to talk with, and will find opportunity within the PTA. Hassayampa is troubled by the small school district's financial problems and lacks some basic needed items, but staff and parents are resourceful. I would give the school a B+ for effort."
