"After one year at this school, my son has learned tons! His third grade teacher was a great mix of stern/fun and made sure the kids were engaged and interested in the subject matter. The principal is great and is very involved in the school's activities and daily happenings. Can't wait for 4th grade!"

"The principal mentioned in prior comments left 2 years ago. The new principal is amazing! The school has such a postive air about it. Great place to send your kids. The principal is exactly what this school needed. The teacher, staff and children are excelling under his leaership!!"

"I am a retired teacher from this district. The percentage of students who go on to college in this district is shockingly low. Parental involvement is discouraged."

"Academics in this school are lacking. Some teachers feel they are the ultimate law and that a parent should not question a grade or a situation in the classroom. Principal is retiring this year which is one of the more positive thing in the last few years. District has failed state testing requirements for two years. All parents are not involved because we are not allowed to be involved with the classroom or the students progress. We are stopped at the door and discouraged for speaking out and then our children are made to feel less than adequate. Some of these teachers have control issues that need to be dealt with before they were ever given a degree to teach children."

"This school has the potential to be as great as Elementary #1 if the principal would leave. He fosters a negative atmosphere and discourages parent involvement."
