"I was a bit nervous about sending my child to this school based on rumors in the community. I toured the school, met with teachers and principals and liked what I saw and decided to give it a try. I am glad I did. My daughter loves it and is doing well. The school is really making a turn around and if more people would put there unpleasant views aside and actually use their community school there would be more of a mix of children. I have not seen anything to hold true to the rumors and I am so glad I followed my own instinct and gave the school, teachers and staff a chance because they are really great. They run a tight ship and the kids are very well behaved and well mannered. They have great academics and will put your child in the level of classes that they need to be. Classes are tailored to your child's needs based on assessment tests they do many times throughout the year. I only wish more people in the neighborhood would allow their children to attend this school."

"I have 2 children at this school and my kids have always had wonderful teachers. I am amazed at how they can address each child at his or her level and help that child to improve (whether that child needs extra help or extra challenges). The PBIS behavioral system has the kids walking quietly in lines down the hallways and motivated to behave. There is a wonderful library, computer classes, a gifted program, opportunities to participate in choir, and drum corps in 4th grade, chess club, and a musical is presented by the 3rd and 4th graders. The principal and teachers are truly dedicated, caring, and excellent at what they do."

"I have a child that is in the Kindergarten class at AMJES. Due to my child being born premature (several months) he is now showing signs of developemental delay. The teachers there are great! They have really taken time to work with him and keep me informed on how he is doing. He is improving everyday. I thank them for their caring and hard work. C. Harris Willowbrook, Il"

"This school was a good until last year when it started to go downhill. The teachers try really hard to teach good behavior but the lack of parental supervision and involvment has made their jobs impossible. I am pulling my children and moving to a better disrict."
