    "We are new to the state of Minnesota and this school has not provided a welcoming atmosphere for a new family. The teachers tease my children on their accent to the point of us bringing to the attention of the Dean and we were blown off until he heard with his own ears. The administration likes to talk about all the great things they do, however if a parent questions these 'great things' then the parent is no longer welcomed. The school leaves the parent out of the loop and expects the parent to abide but what 'they feel' should be for the students. They will not look at a student as an individual but only use quantitative data. However as a parent with a Masters in Education myself I possess the understanding that data is not complete and well rounded without the qualitative side as well."

    "The teachers at CLM School are wonderful. The office administration, deans, councilors, etc. need more training on being patient and dealing with children. I beleive the administration lacks compassion, and it seems like they don't understand childrens needs. I pulled my daughter out of this school for that reason."

    "We have had a child attending the Chisago lakes Middle School for 5 years now and we have nothing but good things to say about its staff and policies. Our daughter was very physically ill and missed almost all of 7th grade and attending 1/2 days for much of 6th and 8th grade. The administration, counselors, school nurse and teachers went out of their way to ensure that our daughter was taught all that she needed to know in order to stay caught up with her peers. They provided us with a homebound tutor and when she did return to school, they were very accommodating in helping her to adjust to being back in school. She is a healthy sophomore now and on the 'A' honor roll. This simply would not have been possible without the support given to us by the Middle School staff."
