Named global chief marketing officer of Century 21 Real Estate LLC in 2015, Whitley leads the marketing, advertising and digital media efforts for the world’s largest real estate franchise organization of approximately 9,700 independently owned and operated offices and more than 129,000 independent sales professionals in 82 countries and territories worldwide.

Whitley comes to the brand with extensive experience in leading marketing teams in a global and multi-cultural environment. She has an extensive background in consumer marketing, franchise systems, digital and social media, brand management, advertising and promotions and more. Under her leadership as CMO, the company unveiled a historic rebrand and new visual identity in 2018.
Prior to joining CENTURY 21, she served as chief marketing officer of Squaw Valley Ski Holdings in Lake Tahoe (CA), a position she held since October 2013. While there, Whitley led the integration of two brands to form a unified value proposition including their digital strategy and brand promise. Cara also served as a vice president for some of the world’s largest multinational corporations including American Express, Epsilon and Hilton Hotels Corporation.
A graduate of the University of Miami, Cara is an avid runner, hiker and skier and looks forward to one day climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. When it comes to homeownership, she believes that the real joy comes from the flexibility it gives people to constantly improve the space around them to reflect their unique personality.
