CENTURY 21 REAL ESTATE ARRIVES AT THEATERS IN THE MOVIE “THE STREAM”
Real-Life Real Estate Agent Rebecca Malek Cast as Real Estate Agent
Madison, N.J. ( ) —

Century 21 Real Estate LLC, the franchisor of the world’s largest real estate sales organization, today announced the brand is “in the movies” in the coming-of-age family comedy “The Stream.” Released in select Regal Cinemas, The Stream features real-life real estate agent Rebecca Malek of CENTURY 21 Alliance in Newtown, Pa., portraying a real estate agent co-starring alongside Rainn Wilson, Mario Lopez, Kelly Rutherford and Christopher Gorham.

"Moving is an emotional journey and ‘The Stream’ portrays that beautifully,” said Bev Thorne, chief marketing officer, Century 21 Real Estate LLC. “Rebecca does a fantastic job in the film showcasing how CENTURY 21 agents help to make the moving process as seamless for families as possible. We are thrilled to be featured in a movie that families can enjoy together.”

Set in 1981, the movie tells the story of five friends and their epic adventure as they follow The Stream back home. Produced by the Dreaming Tree Foundation, 80 percent of the producer proceeds from the theatrical release and distribution of the film will directly benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA). More than 200 teenagers from the BCGA worked on and starred in the film either behind the camera or in the editing process.

"It was fun to see first-hand the passion and skills these teenagers brought to a film that uplifts and elevates children and their families,” said Malek. “Homeownership matters, and this film shows the importance of this American institution for consumers, neighborhoods, communities and our country as a whole.

The movie premiered in both New York (Oct. 15) and Los Angeles (Oct. 16) and is currently playing at select Regal Theaters across the country.
