I've been a full-time Realtor® with Century 21 Redwood Realty since 2003, and throughout my career, one thing has remained constant: my clients' best interest is at the heart of everything I do. I truly love my job and have a deep passion for real estate, it's a privilege to guide people through such meaningful moments in their lives.
Over the years, I've been honored to be recognized as a consistent top agent with Century 21, earning awards such as the Double Centurion, Centurion, President's Producer, and Quality Service Pinnacle Producer. These recognitions reflect the trust my clients place in me and the results we achieve together.
Before real estate, I worked for the Ritz-Carlton in Pentagon City, where I learned the gold standard of customer service. Later, I spent seven years teaching Spanish at Garfield High School, which instilled in me a lasting desire to share knowledge and help others make confident, informed decisions. Both experiences continue to shape how I work today, blending high-level service with patience, guidance, and thoughtful support every step of the way.
I grew up in Northern Virginia, graduating from Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke. I studied at Calvin University in Michigan, completing two semesters abroad in Spain, before transferring to George Mason University, where I earned both my undergraduate degree in Spanish and a Master's in Education.
Since 1989, I've lived in Prince William County with my husband, Joe, where we've raised our family. Northern Virginia is home, and I'm proud to serve clients across the region-including Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Prince William, Stafford, Loudoun, and Spotsylvania counties.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me spending time with my two grown daughters, our cockapoo Guster, and our cat Cody. I also enjoy traveling, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and staying active through masters rowing.

Seller reviewKristin has been our realtor several times. She is what brought us to buy in Brittany which was the best decision we ever made. She really knows the area and helped us a lot. When moving away, we immediately went to her and she certainly helped us get the home ready and sold. She was also a great neighbor to have as she lived right down the road.

Seller reviewWe interviewed five real estate agents before choosing to have Kirstin sell our property. We were impressed by her knowledge of the local market, her professionalism, and her attentiveness to our concerns and what we had to say. Many agents are a bit pushy, Kristin listens. We wanted to get the property on the market and get it sold quickly while still getting the top sales price possible. Kristin was able to accomplish all this even though she had to schedule her activities around contractors we had to call in to do some last minute repairs. Our house went on the market on Thursday, Kristen held an open house on Sunday, and she presented us with multiple above asking price offers on Monday. After only five days on the market our home was sold at the highest price ever for a property in our community. Kristen made the closing process easy for us even tough we were 900 miles away at the time. I would most definitely work with Kristin again and I highly recommend her.

She shared information with us about the selling process that provided clarity and facilitated decision making. She was always available, even one night after 10pm when I locked myself out of the house! When I was worried and upset, she was patient and kind and willing to talk me out of the stress. We can't thank Kristin enough for the help she provided with selling our home. She went above and beyond at every turn. She definitely did her research and then would provide options for our consideration. For anyone looking to buy or sell a home, I highly recommend Kristin Burns.
