I've been a full-time Realtor® with Century 21 Redwood Realty since 2003, and throughout my career, one thing has remained constant: my clients' best interest is at the heart of everything I do. I truly love my job and have a deep passion for real estate, it's a privilege to guide people through such meaningful moments in their lives.
Over the years, I've been honored to be recognized as a consistent top agent with Century 21, earning awards such as the Double Centurion, Centurion, President's Producer, and Quality Service Pinnacle Producer. These recognitions reflect the trust my clients place in me and the results we achieve together.
Before real estate, I worked for the Ritz-Carlton in Pentagon City, where I learned the gold standard of customer service. Later, I spent seven years teaching Spanish at Garfield High School, which instilled in me a lasting desire to share knowledge and help others make confident, informed decisions. Both experiences continue to shape how I work today, blending high-level service with patience, guidance, and thoughtful support every step of the way.
I grew up in Northern Virginia, graduating from Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke. I studied at Calvin University in Michigan, completing two semesters abroad in Spain, before transferring to George Mason University, where I earned both my undergraduate degree in Spanish and a Master's in Education.
Since 1989, I've lived in Prince William County with my husband, Joe, where we've raised our family. Northern Virginia is home, and I'm proud to serve clients across the region-including Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Prince William, Stafford, Loudoun, and Spotsylvania counties.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me spending time with my two grown daughters, our cockapoo Guster, and our cat Cody. I also enjoy traveling, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and staying active through masters rowing.

Seller reviewKristen Burns exudes professionalism, knowledge and provides the highest level of personal attention. From our initial meeting, it was readily apparent that Kristen would care for us during the sale of our property like we were members of her own family. Through every step of the process of selling our home Kristen exceeded our expectations. Kristen listened to our needs and gave excellent advise. She made suggestions of improvements we could make to our home that would enhance our selling price and steered us away from areas that would not. She gave us access to her list of preferred contractors, stagers and trades persons. We were able to make necessary modifications in a short turn around time with wonderful results. Kristen developed a pricing strategy and marketing plan that exceeded our expectations. Her use of a professional photographer and internet real estate sites brought our home to many prospective buyers. We listed our home for showings on Thursday and on the following Monday we met to select our home buyer from multiple offers. The sale of our home went through seamlessly. We are completely satisfied with Kristen Burns. If our only child were buying or selling a home, we would trust Kristen Burns to be her agent.
