I've been a full-time Realtor® with Century 21 Redwood Realty since 2003, and throughout my career, one thing has remained constant: my clients' best interest is at the heart of everything I do. I truly love my job and have a deep passion for real estate, it's a privilege to guide people through such meaningful moments in their lives.
Over the years, I've been honored to be recognized as a consistent top agent with Century 21, earning awards such as the Double Centurion, Centurion, President's Producer, and Quality Service Pinnacle Producer. These recognitions reflect the trust my clients place in me and the results we achieve together.
Before real estate, I worked for the Ritz-Carlton in Pentagon City, where I learned the gold standard of customer service. Later, I spent seven years teaching Spanish at Garfield High School, which instilled in me a lasting desire to share knowledge and help others make confident, informed decisions. Both experiences continue to shape how I work today, blending high-level service with patience, guidance, and thoughtful support every step of the way.
I grew up in Northern Virginia, graduating from Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke. I studied at Calvin University in Michigan, completing two semesters abroad in Spain, before transferring to George Mason University, where I earned both my undergraduate degree in Spanish and a Master's in Education.
Since 1989, I've lived in Prince William County with my husband, Joe, where we've raised our family. Northern Virginia is home, and I'm proud to serve clients across the region-including Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Prince William, Stafford, Loudoun, and Spotsylvania counties.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me spending time with my two grown daughters, our cockapoo Guster, and our cat Cody. I also enjoy traveling, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and staying active through masters rowing.

Buyer reviewWhen I called, Kristin came over to our house despite it being her busiest season, she fit us in. She listened to our specific needs and helped pinpoint the best houses to look at. Everything went smoothly in a time sensitive situation and we found what we were looking for. She explained the current market, suggested how to proceed, and was open to all ideas we had as well. I felt supported, and I knew I could trust her to have our best interests in mind. I don't know how she does it with many clients at once but somehow she made me feel like we were a top priority. We have bought and sold houses in the past and it is rare to have such a busy agent make time to answer all our questions.. Kristin is the exception. She was always there to answer calls and texts. I would recommend Kristin Burns to anyone.

Seller reviewI had worked with Kristin Burns over 12 years ago to sell my previous house and buythe house that I am now selling and her guidance was always spot on, so I never considered any other realtors this time. I first discussed selling my home with Kristin over a year ago, knowing that there were things that would need to be updated or improved. She was able to guide me in determining which things were most critical and which were not important and was also able to provide me with references for contractors who all did great work on these improvements. The end result with a quick sale and multiple offers above asking price show how well she knows the market and what's important in selling a house. I would strongly recommend Kristin to any other buyers in the area. Her knowledge and understanding of the market is excellent.
