This was my first home buying experience. I didn't know what to look for in an agent and relied on a recommendation from a friend. I am happy that I did because Kate was very knowledgeable.

Kate was extremely nice and patient with me because I did not know what I wanted in a home. She took the time to make sure I understood the numbers and what I could afford. This helped me understand my financial limits and greatly reduced my stress level and put me on the right track. My wife and I are out of state but wanted to get a small condo up on the NE side. We had already related with an agent at the same brokerage firm and his main concern was that it was a small deal. When we spoke with Kate, she didn't seem at all bothered that it was only a $115k purchase. She stepped up and whipped up an offer contract within a short timeline. That was just the beginning - she impressively followed up and kept us up to date on all issues thereby getting all need documents on time and closing within 21 days.

Mrs. Christofides was well rounded and well connected. Without hesitation, she contacted independent subject matter experts on home inspection issues, who then directly communicated with me. First time home buyer and I can honestly say that I would not have felt comfortable working with anyone but her and her associate Brianna. Kate is extremely knowledgeable and will help you figure out what you want in a house regardless if you know it yourself. I went into buying without any idea of what kind of property I was looking for she helped me quickly narrow it down and we began looking at places immediately. She even looked at properties for me when I was unable to do so.

I went into buying a home with only a month's time to do so due to a military transfer. She managed to make that happen and I don't feel as though I settled on a place just because of the time crunch either. Additionally, she set me up with lenders who offered the best rates around and were very easy to work with.

She was half way across the world when I went through my closing process, but even then, she was attentive to my needs and was in touch throughout the whole process. Worth stating over again (x3) -- Kate is/was simply phenomenal in all aspects of our sale -- professional, knowledgeable, quick to reply and answer questions, and on and on I could go. It's also worth noting she's one heck of a negotiator and always, always had our best interests in mind. More importantly, she's one of the nicest persons around. Kate was an invaluable teammate during our home buying experience. As a military family with kids there are two big concerns during every move; that is balancing quality childcare/schools and finding the right place to call home within our price-point. Kate's knowledge of the local communities were very helpful.

I flew out to the D.C. area to look for home and she showed coordinated for several showings (>15) on Saturday so I could fly out on Sunday. Kate was very organized and provided personal attention to help us find the right home without any added pressure.

After finding the right home, Kate was instrumental in keeping us informed on issues, documentation and the timing of the multiple service inspections and vendor repairs for an track closing. Kate's experience, energetic charm, no nonsense negotiating skills and quality communication skills were also extremely useful since much of the process was conducted from several states away. Kate was the right fit for our home buying experience and we would highly recommend her to anyone especially our inbound military friends and family.

Kate was very helpful and willing to go all out to make sure we got what we needed. She freed up her entire weekend to accommodate us, and showed us more than 20 houses in a single day to meet our limited time in the area to select a home.

Kate was extremely communicative during the entire process, often calling during our lengthy Military Transfer process just to see how we were doing. She showed interest in the sale of our home across the country, as well as our children and general well being.

She was extremely professional and timely throughout the process. We will be looking Kate up again when it is time to sell the house for the next transfer.

Overall, our experience has been great. We became close with Kate and her family during the months leading up to the sale of our property and we will truly miss being around them, as our original plan was to stay in the DC area until my employment was moved to a different state. As a buyers agent, Kate tirelessly researched properties that would fit our tastes in the DC area and took us around on several occasions to view them. As a sellers agent, she was very assertive from the beginning when we told her that we wanted to list our condo for sale. She immediately began helping us prepare for the sale by running comps in the area and compiling all necessary information to list our property. The collateral she produced for our fliers were spectacular and the coordination and communication throughout the selling process was stellar. She expertly negotiated a highly favorable contract for the sale of our condo which ended up being the most expensive property to be sold in the community at that time. We have already recommended her to friends and family who are also or are thinking of getting in the market. If we were staying in the area we would use her as our buyer agent as well, but since we are moving out of state Kate took the extra step to coordinate and interview several buyer agents for us to find the perfect one that would help us meet our desires in a new home. She knows what she's doing and she's great at what she does!
