"This is a public high school that does its best to prep you for college. For me it did a great job of that. The teachers give you a basis to go to school and the more you apply yourself, the better prepared you are. When it comes down to actually applying, the teachers and counselors are wonderful support throughout the process. They were there every step of the way with me, making sure I did everything correctly."

"What I liked most about attending RMHS was that the school culture was really one of community. Whether you were involved in sports, clubs, drama, or not involved in anything extra-curricular, you felt as though you belonged when you walked inside the building. The teachers and students are the reasons for this. If I could improve anything, it would be for the school to offer more elective courses beyond the required core courses that everyone has to take. For example, only three languages are offered at the high school--Spanish, French, and Latin. In today's world, it would be great if other languages such as German, Italian, or Mandarin were part of the offerings."

"Reading Memorial High School provided me with the necessary information and tools to succeed beyond the secluded town of Reading. The teachers always gave it to me straight, the sports were very competitive and the classes were rigorous. The system in place allows students to challenge themselves to the highest degree possible with many AP courses available. Reading Memorial and all the challenges that came along with it helped me achieve the goal of being prepared for college and the real world."

"RMHS is a student-friendly environment that sacrifices some teaching quality in order to fund other programs, such as sports and the arts. Overall, the community is very friendly, as encouraged by the administration, but there are very few teachers that are of the highest caliber."

"Reading Memorial High School has lots of school pride and overall strong sports and academics. Students can make the most out of their education at RMHS with lots of AP courses offered and many clubs to join or start (if you have 5 friends you also want to be in it). The teachers are helpful if you reach out, and everyone can find their niche within the bigger school."
