"Newman is a great school in terms of education and safety. I have never felt in danger during my time there. Moreover, their IB curriculum prepares you entirely for college."

"Unattentive teachers and staff who let kids fall behind and embarrass them in class. School culture is a horrible place which emphasizes all the wrong things. The college guidance office leaves seniors completely unprepared and can't even get forms in on time. The IB program is woefully underdeveloped and staff and administration have no idea about it. There are no other pathways for college credit besides IB that the school is willing to provide."

"Nobody at Newman really has a problem with acceptance. One of my favorite things about this school is the absence of cliques and a student hierarchy. Everybody is accepted the way they are and every single group of friends gets along. Stereotypes really aren't present here all students are unique (and there's not that many students in the first place). Some clubs have been started to combat social problems, but they raise awareness more than stop anything. There's nothing to stop."

"I love this school. So many things about it ensure that you feel like part of the community, and the school does a wonderful job emphasizing the balance between academics and extra-curricular activities. Their biggest concern is the week being of the student and the student's preparation for an adult life. Many of the lessons focus as much on learning how to be organized and independent as they do on the material, and as a result, the students are the most mature I've seen."

"The teachers try their best to prepare you not just for tests, but for your life after. They have your best interests at heart. One of my more difficult teachers, whom I adore, recently sent out an article to the other teachers asking for less homework, so that we could get enough sleep. I find my classes challenging, but the teachers are willing to try new things to help you learn better. At the same time, they will not do your work for you. They let you learn to be independent."
