"I felt that Somerville High allowed their students to accept themselves and others. It is a very accepting school that is open to other people's opinions. However, I would like to see more programs that help individuals deciding on other paths to take if they are not interested in college."

"Somerville high school is a very diverse school with a large spectrum of culture. It offers various classes in STEM, history, english, and electives. Most of the teachers are attentive, kind, acknowledging, understanding, and effective in teaching. However, some teachers fail to educate students properly. The school also has a variety of clubs, though some are more effectively managed than others. The school also has a large number of sports teams, from track to tennis. The boy's track team has even won multiple regional conferences, with the latest being the Northeast Conference. Counselers are usually available to guide students and resources are provided when a student requires it. However, the food quality at the school is usually not that great, and students are often not served enough to eat."

"Over the 4 years that I have attended the school, I was very satisfied with how all teachers cared about problems that were going on in the school, as well as housemasters and the principal taking matters seriously. The racial diversity and ability to express yourself are welcomed by everyone, making it feel safe for anyone to attend. There are also many clubs, extracurricular activities to attend as well, mixing up the normal schedual. This school has one of the best vocational systems of High schools in the US, ranging from becoming a carpenter to a dentist."

"Although it is a classic school, Somerville High has much to offer. Somerville High School, built from the 19th century, may not have the best facilities, but the quality of teachers is superb, on top of some of the greatest diversity I have seen. Food is one major lacking point of the school, with poor quality and quantity offered. Somerville High has many connections with outside programs, and offers a great diversity of clubs and activities."
