"Kept getting rid of teachers by putting them on "medical leave," which disrupts the classroom environment. Curriculum writer for english and world language is the worst, and she clearly has no idea what she is doing in a high school setting."

"I graduated from Ellington High School in 2013 and I miss it everyday. I will never forget the great students and teachers who helped me along the way to laugh and learn."

"Overall, my experience at the school was good. I wish I was able to give the school 3.5 stars, but it wouldn't allow me to do that so I rounded up to 4. If I had to pick the worst aspect of the school, it would be some of the teachers. You either have teachers that are truly passionate about what they teach, or the total opposite. Some of the teachers couldn't care less about their job, and it really made some of the classes very disinteresting. If I had to pick the best aspect of the school, it would be the opportunities that they make available to you as a student. There are so many clubs to join and so many ways to get involved, and the students are generally very welcoming. Specifically the guidance office is very good at making sure their students receive all the resources they need. They are constantly letting students know about scholarships to apply to, job shadows, etc. They make the college application process a lot easier."

"Most of the teachers here are very supportive of learning inside and outside of the classroom. Most of them go above and beyond for students that do not try to succeed. They want success more than some of the students. However, the administration and the core class activities does not seem to prepare students for college and the real world. This past year, they started to offer retakes for any quizzes and tests in any class. They also shortened midterm and final exams and are even considering abolishing these exams completely. Students need to learn that the real world is not this easy, and this school does not really preach that."
