"This school is terrible. If I could give negative stars as a review I would. Students like myself are often physically punished with things such as having to run up and down stairs with weights, wall sit, and the lower schoolers are forced to wall sit, run stairs and hold books out in front of them. Also, the teachers do not care about the students. Whenever I ask a teacher for help after school or ask to schedule a meeting with them I am always turned down because they don't care about how the students do they are just there to get payed. Also, the football players are protected. When I was there a well known football player set off fire works in the gym and was let go with a warning instead of being suspended as he should have been. Also, kids smoke weed in the basement, bathrooms and behind the school and don't get caught. All in all it is a terrible school that is overhyped."

"Capital Prep is a great school. The staff are supportive and caring. They do their best to help each and every student achieve academic success. The students that attend the school bring a positive vibe that, as a result, allows the learning community to flourish. As a whole, the attitude in the school allows the students to perform at their best ability and be proud of their achievements. If I could change one thing about Capital Prep, I would like to see more resources for the students. In order for the students to succeed, we need the resources to succeed, such as functioning technology and up-to-date textbooks. With the help of these resources, there will be no limit for the students. Overall, Capital Prep is a great school and every student that leaves the school will have a great chance at a successful future."

"Capital Prep is one of a kind! Its is a PK 3 through 12th grade school. Capital Prep students, parents and staff are very close and have a strong bond we are one big extended family. However, Capital Prep is a Social Justice Theme School which empowers its students to lead with integrity, confidence, courage and conviction. Capital Prep also has a very competitive atheletic dept. As for academics Capital Prep is committed to providing the best college preparatory program available. As a junior Cprep I believe the academics requirements has helped me develop, as a well-rounded student grounded in the best of the academics and a social justice agent for change. My experience at Cprep has help me to think critically and cultivate life-long learning skills. Cprep staff and administration are committed to producing graduates who will thrive in college and beyond and act with integrity and self-discipline as good citizens of their country and the world."

"I am a former student at Capital Prep. I went for two years (4th and 5th grade) because my brother's name had been pulled out of a hat in the raffle. The school itself was very strict. There were physical means of punishment. If one person talked in the class, the whole class would be forced to do wallsits for all 45 minutes of recess. Kids who got in trouble were made to run up and down the stairs carrying weights. I only had to do wallsits because another person in my class had refused to be quiet. I didn't know that these things weren't normal until I told my parents and they pulled us out. They expected kindergarteners to know how to undo the belts they were forced to wear, and caused my little sister immense distress. If you forgot something for your uniform (such as your belt or tie) you were punished and shamed. If I could give negative stars I would. The teachers were kind in some cases but cruel in most, and the administration had no mercy."

"I believe that the best part about Capital Prep is the two sport requirement. It helps students develop skills that will be beneficial in their everyday life, such as leadership and teamwork. However, academically, Capital Prep is lacking. As a college prep school, there should be more done to prepare for college. Everyone I know who has graduated from Capital Prep, myself included, walked into freshman year of college very unprepared."
