"WCA is a very good and involved high school rather than the other high schools. However, the first graduating class did not have many academic opportunities whereas the juniors and upcoming classes will have better ones. Also not good food for vegetarians or Muslims.."

"Being a parent of a senior at WCA, the first graduating class I have experienced a lot so far. I feel the best set of teachers are within our freshman class and as the years went on it seems the teachers were more new and inexperienced. The school is very well furnished and upkept compared to most schools. I can say I feel safe as well. My biggest concern though as a senior is coming in to this school you're sort of given the impression you will leave out with some sort of certification and/or job but as the years have went on they gear yu more towards a "college prep" theory rather than a "4strand/tech school" as promised."

"Waterbury Career Academy is a fantastic school. The teachers do nothing but help students work at their very hardest. There are more than enough resources to help including labs during homeroom, where teachers can help, and 99% of the time teachers will even stay after school to help teach you one on one. Career Academy is a beautiful, up-to-date school, and pushes their students to their max potential."

"The opening of a new high school in a city that for a long time consisted of worn institutions in need of desperate financial attention excited me and every other middle school student in the area. As the second class to walk through their front doors, everything within the building was either brand new or fairly new. The resources available to us are plentiful and widely available to all students, and the uniforms were, and still are, a comfortable and stylish option. However, as a new school, our school continues to lack variety in athletic teams and extracurricular clubs, as well as order in the ones that do exist. Although this does serve as a major drawback, it is being worked on. Every year, a plethora of new clubs are founded in our school, and the athletic teams are improved. Although coming to such a new school is a risk, it is totally worth it for the absolutely unique experience Waterbury Career Academy will provide you."

"When I entered my school as a freshman, we were the only class. This is because our schools works on credits. It was a new a fun experience, but as the years went on things seemed sort of dysfunctional. I love that my school is career based, that they've prepared me for college, and they've given such great opportunities. I just wish that they would've devised a better plan for organization in certain places such as class size, sports, and clubs."
