"I've loved my experience at Xavier High School and have really grown as a person. I wouldn't change a thing about my high school."

"Overall, Xavier is a very good school that prepares you for college. The academics are very good and the facility is unmatched. The amount of support that they provide during your four years is hard to find anywhere else. The only problem would be with its lack of diversity among the student body and staff. However, Xavier makes its best attempt to make minority groups fill included."

"Xavier High School is an academically rigorous, Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory school in New York City that educates intelligent, motivated young men of diverse backgrounds and means. Xavier teaches students to take responsibility for their lives, to lead with integrity, to act justly in service of others, to pursue excellence in every endeavor and to deepen their relationship with God. Ultimately, Xavier forms young men who will go forth to transform the world for God s greater glory."

"I started Xavier sixty years ago and still consider it the second most important influence in forming my values, after my parents. Xavier was demanding academically and brought me into contact with a diverse geographic and cultural classmates. The Jesuits then were tough and rigorous. Some of the lay teachers should have been weeded out. I have been in fairly close contact with Xavier over the last fifty plus years and I have witnessed great things happen in the schools continuous growth. The Jesuit mantra of Becoming A man/woman for others is even more evident today. Going to a high school in Manhattan was a huge plus, not having fields nearby was challenge. Every January over a thousand alums, from 21 to 95 , get together to renew old friendships, tell exaggerated stories and sing Sons of Xavier......an exhilarating experience."
