"Birch is an amazing place, where everyone cares for one another, and helps support each other in whatever way possible. They help every student and accommodate everyone's needs. The teachers have a unique style of teaching. This place has changed my life, and I am fortunate enough to be there."

"Good and supportive in general, but a few of the teachers do not care that much and the kids are spoiled."

"Our child has grown so much at BWL. We have been thrilled with the teachers and curriculum at the Lower School so far."

"I went to BWL from kindergarten to eighth grade. Birch prepped me well for my high school life and I learned a lot in my time! That being said I can't recommend staying there K to high school. Birch gives its a good start on the world but doesn't have much to offer when it comes to pursuing ones interests. Art classes have cookie cutter-esque projects, and the clubs are few and basic. The kids can be really mean and, though I've made some of my best friends here, I can't say my grade was a family. I doubt it was intentional, but Birch tends to segregate the boys and girls in more ways than necessary with classes like health and P.E. It would be nice is the girls could learn more in health than "how not to let Instagram hurt your self esteem" while the boys learn about the respiratory system. To recap, a good place to start, but be sure to spread your wings and fly before high school."

"Birch is a really good school with typical high school problems and also it doesn't have a lunch period but it makes up greatly for all the opportunities and the life changing teachers they have."
