"I am currently a student at Schenectady High School and I believe that the school needs a lot of improvement. One thing that I love about my school is the diversity and how you can walk through the halls and hear many different languages. The academics are a hit or miss. If you aren't an advanced student (taking IB classes) you won't receive a good education. There are only about three clubs that meet and creating clubs is hard when you can't find students or adults that are willing to help. Though we know that we aren't good at sports, everyone shows up for the homecoming football game and shows their school spirit. In all, my school has a long road ahead of them but I do believe that it is possible to become a better school in all aspects."

"I like the people who I associate with. I would like the administration to take more action in the violence that happens in my school."

"Despite the negative stereotypes, Schenectady high school granted many unique opportunities, including community service, clubs, sports, John Sayles black box theater, and prestigious academic programs, such as the international baccalaureate (IB) program. Immersed in a population of nearly 3,000 staff and students of all different backgrounds, I was able to gain a full experience and education that would prepare me for the real world."

"I loved the time I had at Schenectady High School. The school is very diverse. In that school you will find many different people from all parts of the world. I love how at Schenectady there are a lot of different clubs. At Schenectady HS you can take college classes. If I could go back to Schenectady High School, I will go back."
