"My experience at East Rochester Junior/Senior High School isn't over yet but it has been a memorable one. I was blessed to have grown up with "Small town pride" where everyone knows everyone. When tragedy strikes, the entire down is supporting whomever was affected. With a small class size, it gives every student to gain a close relationship with all teachers, students and staff members of East Rochester High School. Which comes with the benefits, such as more individual academic help, especially when going through tough decisions such as choosing where you will continue your life after high school. The only con that this school possesses is less opportunity due to the small class sizes and not enough student to be able to participate in more clubs and athletics across campus. There is nothing like growing up in a small town, and I wouldn't change it for anything."

"Because it is union-free, the teachers are less 'protected' and seem far more motivated by things other than tenure. The kids get to walk to school, so it has a really nice community feel. They also work more with children that have special needs since it's smaller and they don't give you the impression that your student is just a number. Also, compared to other nearby schools, there is more socio-economic diversity, which is appealing."

"East Rochester is a marvelous school for its size especially on an academic point of view. They offer many Advanced Placement classes that other schools do not such as AP World History, AP Computer Science Java, Calculus AB/BC, and AP Government/Macroeconomics. This is only a cherry on top of the great faculty teaching the classes in interesting and engaging ways every day. The teachers also make good use of technology to always take the workload off of the students and still produce the same experience/education. The teachers promote easier applications to create power point presentations and other types of projects. The teachers do a good job on explaining their expectations and describing their grading methods. Teachers have never made it too difficult for students. The faculty love to promote advanced classes to students and persuade them to answer to the challenge. Resume practice, finances, and business scholarship workshops are advertised highly by the faculty and administration as well. For the actual classes, they try to make it manageable and always assign reasonable due dates. Nevertheless, they will almost always find a challenging topic or assignment to force students to think outside of the box and explore new things. The teachers are there to help and that's exactly what they try to do everyday to the best of their ability. The academic opportunity that East Rochester offers is truly wonderful and students will most definitely gain the skills needed for college and the job market."

"East Rochester High School is a place for athletic and academic excellence. Our superintendent and athletic coordinator are both always tremendously determined on improving the programs and curriculum every year that passes by and it pays off. East Rochester may be a small school but it offers advanced placement classes that other schools our size do not. Our teachers go above and beyond when it comes to academics. They will give up their free time to make sure that you understand the class content and always are open to making good relationships with the students. The environment that the teachers create for the students is like no other school. All of the activities that we have at school are almost always integrated with both students and teachers. The teachers are even known for holding basketball/soccer games before and after school and even perform songs at chorus concerts. Not to mention, we have great sports facilities and coaches backed up by a loving town that attend plenty of games to show East Rochester pride. My favorite experience would have to be the school football games at our local stadium. Hearing the crowd roar and join together as a community to show support for our school's athletes was truly a grand sight to see and experience and I will cherish the times I've had at that high school forever."
