"The school is filled with hardworking and caring teachers, however they push religion on older students."

"I attended Aquinas Academy from kindergarten through the 12th grade. I grew up at Aquinas, surrounded by friends and teachers who cared deeply about me not only as a student and athlete but as a person and child of God. Each day, I was encouraged to be my best self in academics, athletics, social interactions and my faith. Academics are as engaging as they were challenging. Teachers care about comprehension over test scores. The environment is wonderfully full of the Catholic faith. From daily mass and prayer to deep conversations with my peers and teachers, I was constantly reminded of the presence of God and the impact of my Catholic faith on and in my life. At college, I found myself prepared to stand firm in my faith and sense of self in a culture that frequently did not understand either. Academically, I found myself beyond prepared for my college courses. In my years there, Aquinas became my second home and extended family. I was truly blessed to have grown up there."

"Aquinas Academy has provided me with the best years of my life. I have received the best education I could ask for, was able to grow in the knowledge of and experience of my faith, and made some incredible friendships that will last a lifetime. At Aquinas, the teachers truly care about the students, and not just their grades. The teachers care about forming the whole person. Aquinas is the best place to grow in your relationship with God. They don't force Catholicism on anyone, but give students opportunities to grow in this regard if they so choose. Religion class is mandatory, as it is at every Catholic school. Mass is offered daily and Reconciliation is offered weekly; both are entirely optional. The classical curriculum teaches students how to think critically, and write effectively, which prepares our graduates for college better than any other school. Looking back on these four years of high school, I see my decision to come to Aquinas as one of the best of my life."

"One thing that sets Aquinas apart is its teachers. They care about the success of every student and will go to great lengths to provide help, sometimes even outside of school. Some people complain about Literature, but they are simply afraid of putting in extra time or effort to do well in this college-level class. Alumni feel very prepared going into college. One thing this school could improve on is their sports program, but this results from lack of athletic funding for good coaches and the small student population. Another thing that sets Aquinas apart is the chance for daily Mass. The religion and history classes do build on each other at this school and the teachers sometimes rely too heavily on the assumption that the students already learned this or that, which puts students who have joined in recent years at a disadvantage. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I feel very well-formed as a person after my 13 years at this school."

"As an alumni, I can say with 100% certainty that I would not be where I am today without this school. The faculty taught me how to think for myself, and stand up for what I believe in. The guidance I received not only helped me through difficult times and decisions, but it helped shape me into the thinker that I am today. The relationships I formed far transcend the classroom, and I know that I can still rely on them today. As a matter of fact, I do. The teachers, faculty, administration they all taught me how to solve problems, and help others as well. They even taught me to put my thoughts into words well enough that I could project myself into personal essays and was accepted into each college that I applied to. Aquinas showed me how to forge my own path. I knew that help was always there, whether it be a condolence, a friendly gesture, academic guidance, or constructive criticism. And for that I will be forever grateful."
