"I had a great experience at Penns Valley. It is overall a great school. There are plenty of opportunities for a student to get involved, and be involved in many things. The was only reason that I thought of giving Penns Valley four stars overall, is because they prepare you for your tests. I only had one class that talked about anything outside of high school."

"It is a really wonderful school. It is like a big happy family where everyone gets along. They have the typical trouble maker students but overall there is no trouble. Wonderful place and wonderful community to live in."

"The kids that go to Penns Valley are a very tight knit group. When I moved in, everyone was very friendly, and the school staff was extremely helpful. Being a small school, there is a lack of options when it comes to the curriculum. The teaching staff isn't the best, especially with all of the recent changes in the math and science departments, but that is only my personal opinion."

"Penns Valley is a very small and rural high school, with close-knit student bodies. I enjoy how comfortable and relaxed the teachers and administrative staff are with all of the students. My only complaints revolve around the condition of the school building itself, but the district listened to the student feedback and factored our comments into the renovation plans."

"The academics offered at this school are okay. The classes provided are excellent classes, and the teachers are all knowledgeable of what they are teaching. The only issue with classes offered at school is that due to it being such a small school, there are only so many classes a student can pick from. We have a limited number of electives to choose from, and it can get harder to decide on a class you would like and enjoy the further you go in your high school career, because then you already take all the classes you would enjoy. The curriculum for classes is easy to follow, and almost all core classes offer the option to take the general version of a class or an honors/AP version of the class, based on your academic ability and plans for after high school. The workload is manageable, the teachers try not to assign too much homework and overload the students, especially because they know the students participate in after school activities or have jobs. Sometimes, students are able to take independent studies, if there are no classes they would enjoy or relate to what they would like to study in college. In/After school tutoring is available to the students from NHS students who volunteer their time, or by teachers who are willing to stay after class/ come early to help."
