"I am a student at New Hope Academy, and this is my second year attending. I love and appreciate many things about my school, like the small class sizes, which allow for one-on-one support from teachers, and encourage students to work faster or slower depending on their comfort with the material. I am very happy with our music and art programs as well. Our school has a recording room, and sound and recording equipment as well as a variety of music concentrations, and a choir. Our small school does not have any sports teams, and as a volleyball player I have to participate in club sports. As a small school we also have limited clubs, with the school newspaper, chess team, diplomacy club, and tolerance club being the only current school clubs. The small environment does lend itself to a family feel, since all of the students know each other and have classes together. Overall I really enjoy my school, and feel that I am being prepared for college."

"Academically, New Hope Academy helped me a lot. The only thing I wish I had been able to focus more on was paper writing. Going from NHA to college really got stressful and I've had to drop a few classes. The administration is pretty good but the Director of Students needs to get himself in check. I've heard some pretty terrible things about him treating students like crap and have witnessed it myself. The owner of the school is a whole different story. She talks a lot, and a lot of what she says comes off the wrong way. Her son was arrested by the FBI (during a school day) for child pornography and she views everyone as a dollar sign. When I first came into NHA it was clear she cared about her students as an individual, and only accepted students she felt right for the school. Recently, she has been accepting anyone. I'm not saying don't go here, because I know they're great. I made my best friends at NHA and learned a lot academically. pushing through the admin was the hardest bit."

"The teachers at NHA are fantastic. My senior year was a rough year for me and a lot of my teachers pushed me to do the best I could and worked with me to make sure I graduated. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is because of the 1% of teachers who are more childish than the students. They're mostly administrators but yeah."

"Much, much better than any public school in the area. I highly recommend this school."

"The teachers... where do I start?! They're the best teachers a student could ask for. The education quality I receive here is much better than what I would be receiving at my local public high school. Not only do the teachers teach, but they really work with each student to make sure everyone understands the lesson/concept in full. No student is left behind here. Outside of class, such as during lunch or clubs, the teachers are funny, nice, and sociable. The way our school is structured really allows the students to get to know the teachers as "whole people", and vice versa. This makes the teachers' jobs easier, as they can more effectively mold their teaching style to each student based on what they know about the student's personality and lifestyle. It also allows the students to feel more comfortable to approach a teacher for help. In addition, the teachers are willing to help the students with problems beyond academic work. I often approach my English teacher when I'm having a social issue, and she gives me great advice. I'm seriously going to miss the teachers when I graduate this June. They are the reason why I excelled so far; much how like a coach prepares a team for a championship game, my teachers have more than adequately prepared me for college."
