"I like that we have so much diversity within our schools. But the school isn't the best when it comes to getting students ready for college"

"It's an okay high school. There's AP Courses, access to tech school, National Honor Society, and many clubs. However, many students come from the rundown area of Norristown, and although that's not their fault, it creates a good deal of security measures and precautions at school. There are great teachers, especially if a student is pursuing a career in video production. Recently, the art program is losing its funding. My personal opinion is it's a decent school that does offer academic opportunities to children, sometimes even to universities, but the some of the staff needs to care for the students more. Keep in mind this is Norristown, many of these students' families can't afford college or see themselves moving on after graduation. Many of them, included my family, couldn't always afford lunch and needed external help."

"Many of the teachers at my school have different teaching styles, some enjoy lecturing for 45 minutes while others split up class with teaching and then helping/answering questions. While not all teaching styles are appreciated by the students, the teachers certainly do care that we leave class more knowledgeable, but each have their own way of teaching us. Grading is not always consistent although it is not intended to be this way. Communication skills have improved with e-mail. Teachers give us their school e-mail and in this, we may send work, questions, or anything that may benefit our education experience. Some teachers even offer their time after school and stay one, or sometimes two hours just to help with homework or re-teach a lesson that we did not understand. Teachers at Norristown are all very different in many ways, but all have one common goal, to help their students become successful."

"I would NOT choose this school again- the blame isn't to put completely on students or teachers or administration, but a combination of all. Some of my best experiences were extra-curricular activities and time spent with teachers and other students after school. The school does teach you street smarts, too."

"The teachers aren't the problem- they do what they can to control students and teach knowledgeably, but the information taught isn't the best (not necessarily the teachers' faults.) The quality of the teachers is overall well- approachable, available, helpful, especially AP/WH teachers."
