"Not a good value for the steep tuition. Although many students are highly motivated, they have an attitude of entitlement and elitism. Families that don't come from money rarely fit in unless their children are athletic. This school doesn't actually practice the Quaker values that they preach. There is a bullying culture that is often encouraged by the faculty and rarely addressed by the ineffective administration."

"A wonderful school! Excellent academics and a caring, engaged and approachable faculty. My children felt seen and valued and, as a result, they each blossomed during their time there."

"I can't imagine my children at any other school. Friends nurtures and celebrates each student's strengths and does not try to make kids fit into a mold. There is so much opportunity for students to thrive, and the foundation of Quaker values teaches students that they can succeed alongside each other, not against each other. The academics are extremely strong, and the laptop program is a great way for all students to have the same access to technology."

"The small environment of Wilmington Friends allows for unparalleled connections between teachers and students and great accessibility of resources. The IB Program definitely prepares students for college and offers an even smaller community of dedicated students."

"If the three parts of a school are administration, academics, and culture, Friends gets a D, an A-, and a D. The school is run by a circle of rich donors and alumni parents, so the administrators can't really protect students or make things fair. Most of the teachers know that too, so some play into it but some do their best to provide a good education anyway. The kids whose parents run the school can't be corrected, so it makes the rest of us feel nervous and try to just stay away from them. Some kids try to get in with them, but they're mean to each other too so it's not better."
