"The school tries its best to be an effective learning environment but due to a small budget and students who put little to no effort you don't really learn that much."

"I had amazing teachers who were very helpful in instructing me and guiding me into college and the real world. I took mostly honors and advanced courses, so I was often around the same group of students who took higher level courses. I really appreciated that we were able to healthily compete against one another while also supporting one another with our goals. One of the programs I was fortunate to join was AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination). This program provided us assistance with applying for college, tutoring, and even trips to nearby universities! I feel that Osbourn gets "a bad rap" for being a bad school, but I found that my classmates and I were given wonderful tools to succeed. Osbourn is a good resource filled with caring professionals who put in the work to see students reach their potential; it is just up to the students to be dedicated into putting in the rest of the work."

"I am an international student from Mexico coursing my senior. My first surprise was noticed that I was used to a harder level of work in Mexico than what I had here. Since the first week of classes, I asked my counselor for a higher level of academic demand, and, at first, there were not many options available, but after a few days we managed to add some demanding courses to my schedule. The student body is greatly composed by Centro American students, but there is also the common mixture of different races of people as found in most schools across the country. As for the food, just as it is in most schools in the USA, the lunch menu is not a characteristic I can feel satisfied with, but, of course, you can always bring your own food to eat. In general, I have had a better than bad experience, there were some aspects that I did not like at all, but just as it is in any place; it depends on you to take advantage of the opportunities each site offers you."

"My experience at Osbourn High School was a great one. I was involved with sports as well as being apart of a very diverse and loving school community. There were many chances to be apart of clubs and organizations as well as opportunities for students to embrace their ethnicity."
