"It's been a solid 3 years so far and everything seemingly is alright. The school it's self needs to be updated because it's kind of old but has good teachers and a good community."

"it's a lot better then people make it out to be, the teachers make the school experience so much better then it would have been if they were boring. their rank should be like 52, not 113"

"I have been a student for 3 years and I can say this school does not prepare anyone for college. It is not considered the safest school nor the cleanest but the teacher are somewhat devoted to their students education."

"If it wasn't for the fantastic people I met here, there would be no way that I would be thinking of it so highly. It is a good school, but there are lots of problems with it as well. It has a lot of problems with maintenance, and a lot of people in this school are very disrespectful and don't care about their education. I remember clearly how in my freshman year, my homeroom teacher noticed a growing brown stain on one of the ceiling tiles. One morning, when homeroom was about to end, the soggy tile collapsed, and a brown liquid splattered all over the floor below. Someone came into the room and mopped it up, and for the next two weeks or so, my homeroom teacher had to keep a big trashcan underneath the hole where the ceiling tile had once been to catch the remaining brown liquid. I also remember how last year in the girl's locker room, there was a big crack in the wall, big enough to put your hand through, and how one brick in the wall was nowhere to be seen. I remember walking out to start class, when my friend and I saw a roach on the floor. It was almost the length of my pinkie finger. My friend took a picture and showed our teacher. Our teacher replied that she knows, and that she's scared to even put her purse on the floor because she's seen so many. "I wouldn't be surprised if there's nothing but roaches underneath this floor," she said. Also, kids here don't happen to have very much respect. Just yesterday, I witnessed a girl say that my music teacher was "bratty and spoiled" to his face, and the day before that person's friend said that he "needed to work out," when he was helping her with her piano. I can't walk down the hallway without hearing profanity and derogatory words being thrown in every direction. My friends and I have even gotten "cat called" several times, and being a person who is active in the LGBTAQ+ community, see many acts of homophobia and transphobia in our school on the daily, by students and faculty alike."

"They really put a lot of personality into their work, and make it easy to learn. They make lots of jokes and keep everyone awake even if it's an early Monday morning. They make sure everyone is contributing and they understand what is being taught. If there is a kid who does not understand the concept, they always are willing to offer extra time after school, during their own break time, or after class to help. They always make us laugh, and genuinely make learning fun. I always leave school with something that I didn't know beforehand. My teachers and I always talk a lot, and they care a lot about us. If I seem down, they'll always ask me privately if I'm okay and if they can help. Recently I had a cold and when I told my teacher, he placed a tissue box on my desk, a bottle of hand sanitizer, and said he hoped I felt better. My friends and I love some of our teachers so much, that sometimes we'll stay after school to talk to them and joke around with them. You wouldn't expect to walk into school and end up making friends with the teachers, but here, you can't help but do that."
