"Wish we could get funding to improve the school. Since it is a older school, many things have held up over time. Same desks and chairs since I was a student in the early 1980's. But you see where academically, the teachers and staff need support for some students who do not have the support at home. Not the fault of the teachers and staff. Need more parent participation. Although parents are not welcomed into the school and asked/expected to participate enough. And when a parent is interested in participating, feels like they are not needed. Although there are SO many ways this school would operate better if the parents would do more for the school. The school is SOO charming!!! Great location, great established building. Great staff and most teachers are excellent. If this school was given a few million, I think they would be able to improve the weaknesses of being an older school. Enhance each classroom with modern tools, computers, projectors, individual laptops, etc. Also add some more rooms to the school. 3 portable classrooms, which have been there since the 1980's. This school needs to build a large addition onto it to double the size. Classrooms are full and we need more classes."

"Teacher to Student Ratio is low by average although some grades have large enrollment so there are more than 2 classes. Great Volunteers help teachers and staff. Teachers can be mixed, some are Fantastic others you need to supplement them either to overfilled classes or teachers who do not want parent participation. PTA is very small and prefer to handle the school themselves rather than have many parents participate. Parent turn out is lower here than my daughters former school although the PTA seems to prefer it this way. The school has a very strong leadership with an excellent Principal. The School Guidance Counselor is also excellent. The excellent Nurse is shared with other schools but the Assistant in the health room is poor quality. Overall this school is great. Best school in the area. Parents need to engage in the school to help the parents who are unable to engage but the community seems willing and able to do so which helps the community as a whole."
