"I go to south now and it is the best school every i like how you meet new people they and how it is really big and more space and bigger classes which is the best you get to talk to your friends more and the food and the gym are the best place ever and the best thing to eat i wish everyone in the world went to south. South has programs that no other middle or other schools have. Since i been at south i learned a lot and i was not at south for a year or so that is where i met people i didn't even know and now we are like the best of friends. The first day was so not fun but then after a while i liked it. I won't to be a teacher now that i went to south i want everyone else to like it how i liked it and i want to be the one to give that pass shin like they gave me so that is why i love south middle school"

"Again, there are some good teachers. However, most move on ASAP. It's no wonder, the students' attitudes are toxic and not at all academically focused. I have had teachers that were driven to tears by student behaviors in the classrooms, and others that do nothing while the students essentially party in the classroom. Many teachers show favoritism-usually to the preppy girls-and almost bully the students that they don't like. All in all, 90% of teachers don't know their stuff, and I learned nothing from them and was behind my peers academically come high school."

"This school was terrible overall. Bad academics, horrible student culture, and lackluster teachers made this school the worst three years of my life. I hated every moment I spent there. If you're a parent looking for area middle schools, try Suncrest or even Mountaineer Middle School. This place is a pit and I would rather die than go through this again."

"My grade had a couple of black kids, a couple of Latinos, and one Asian. The rest were white. This lack of diversity leads to slight racism from the kids. A lot of over-religious zealots go here as well, creating a general atmosphere of homophobia. There is huge pressure to fit in with the "popular" kids, most of whom are spoiled brats. Most students tend to be rude as well, and very exclusive of anyone who isn't like them."
