"My experience at Southeast is like every high school experience, it's like a roller coaster ride it has it's ups and downs, ins and outs but overall if you surround yourself with the right people and the positive people you will be great. The quickest way to get you off track at Southeast is following the crowd and trying to be like everyone else just to fit in. You don't have to fit in with everyone at Southeast just be around the type of people who bring out the best in you, , motivate you to do better, and won't bring you down. I learned at Southeast when you don't fit in with a particular group you have to go out and find people who match you, your interest, and make sure they are on the same path as your are and willing to succeed."

"There are lots of good things about this school and some not so good things. The academics are not strong but if you take advantage of the flexibility and the dual enrollment opportunity, it should not matter too much. Instead of taking classes at Southeast, my son took many classes at Wake Tech, this was free, had great teachers, made him very competitive for NCSU engineering (got in ED) and he has 40 credits. I don't know if he could have been able to do that at other schools. He also was very involved in school activities, had many friends, and we really loved the modified calendar."

"From my time at Southeast, I was met with plenty of opportunities to join student organizations, resources with which to become stronger in studying my core subjects, and even given chances to go out and gather real-world knowledge and experience. The faculty was always amicable and it truly felt as if they genuinely wished to see their students succeed. The creative arts and technology programs at this school are also widely encouraged, so it was nice to see that my friends were not limited in following their passions by lack of access to doing so."

"Southeast is an interesting school. In the 4 years I was there, I would have to say I learned nothing. I learned more from social media than I did in class. It was a ton of fun though. There was always something going on, and we always stood together as a school if somebody or a school was getting on us. We shut all that down."
