"I think that Kinston high school is a great school and I have had so many people help me during my freshman year . I think that there should be more discipline and more academic recognition throughout the school . I feel like sports is more of a topic there ."

"My experience at Kinston High school has really improved from my freshman year to my upcoming senior year. I have learned so much since I been at Kinston High school. I've learned that no matter your race or skin color you can do anything if you put your mind to it and strieve. I also learned that everyone isn't the same everyone have different personalities, culture, religion, skin color, race and so much more but we are all the same . I've learned to treat others how you want to be treated. Don't treat nobody the way you wouldn't want to be treated that also comes with respect."

"Kinston High School was a wild experience for me cause there was to many people not agreeing on 1 thing and thought fighting was good enough to show they was right, which didn't and took away time for me to learn cause some people wasn't in class so the teacher didn't want to move on without the whole class together which put me behind in my class work, causeb i got sick on the day the people came back and the teacher decides to teach 2 new lessons, so my experience at KH was the best at all."

"Very interesting dynamic here. Very concerned instructiors and programs. Great arts program and athletics. Many grads go on to do fantastic things."

"Kinston High School is a very athletically known high school in Lenoir county. My school is racially profiled because the student population is mostly African-American. My school is viewed very poorly, it is honestly sad. The teachers that teach honors classes are usually the ones who care the most about your education and progress in their class. Some teachers show effort on some days, and on other days, they do not. My principal really took away all of the mirrors in the school and took all of the desktop computers out of the school except for two small computer labs. He established the rule of the buses leaving five minutes after school gets out at 2:40 P.M. We only get 30 minutes for lunch which in my opinion, is not a lot of time or enough of a break from class. We do not have study halls either, which I believe could possibly benefit quite a few of the students. I guess my school is normal and alright."
