"I would like to see more diversity at West. The teachers are excellent. The school is always clean and inviting. Administration could be more child friendly but other than that the school is great. I would and will send my other children to West High if we are still living in Wilkes County."

"West Wilkes is like a family. A big, slightly crazy family, but a family all the same. I came from a different school districts as a freshman but had no trouble jumping right into the flow of things. The teachers are awesome and are always there to lend a helping hand."

"For being a small school in a relatively small town, West Wilkes provides a great education and environment for students, full of great teachers and faculty that are extremely friendly. There are a few opportunities that may be missed at west high, such as fewer choices in elective classes, AP classes, and etc, as well as clubs and sports that the school doesn't offer. But overall, the experience is great and students can receive a perfectly well-rounded high school career here."

"West Wilkes High School is the full high school experience. I've never been anywhere where I've felt so safe and secure, the entire staff is always there to help and accepting, the other students aren't just other students, they're family. The way our school comes together in times of darkness is inspiring. I'm so proud to have attended here and to have experienced being a "Blackhawk""

"I have to say that West Wilkes is one of the better High schools in Wilkes county but it could be better. While at West Wilkes I have been inducted into the Beta club, Earned my Eagle scout, and I am also the Electric vehicle Race Team Captain."
