"I am currently a senior at WNHS and find teachers are willing to guide you to solutions to help reach your goals. They are not in place to give you all the answers because life isn't that way. The guidance counselor for seniors truly takes in upon herself to ensure you understand where you stand and what you need to do to be at college readiness. She has made a big difference in the way I view my last year. Our school safety is another concern I feel is taken very serious. We do live in a time where it is unfortunate we do have to be afraid if someone will arrive to school with harm in mind. But our staff makes their presence known throughout the campus and addresses anything remotely suspicious. They encourage the use of tip lines and enforce it only takes one person to do the right thing. We have a close community and everyone knows everybody. It's where fall and football go hand in hand. We love our small town but it doesn't keep us from dreaming big. Go Warriors!"

"I had a good experience at West Nassau High School because the classes were challenging and the teachers and my peers were nice. I would change the guidance department and have their jobs done better."

"West Nassau has many different opportunities, like Certified Nursing Assistant Program. With great teachers, students are able to succeed in life and in the classroom. The only downside is the few AP classes offered. It would be great if they added more so students have the option to take different classes."

"As my senior year of high school approaches, I find myself reminiscing about all the valuable and memorable times I have experienced at West Nassau County High School. This school has pushed me to be the very best student possible; the teachers, students, and other staff members have always been there whenever I had any questions or problems that needed to be addressed. As of right now, I am near the top of my class and as long as the school continues to support me I know that I will be able to accomplish any goal that I set for myself by graduation. Even with the supportive students and staff, there are still changes that could be made. I would love to see this high school devote more time into developing a stronger plan that helps individuals with disabilities have a better and more comfortable learning environment. However, the school is overall a strong high school that helps students both inside the classroom and out."
