"New Smyrna Beach High School is great for those who wish to learn with smaller class sizes. They offer honors and Advanced Placement courses while assisting you in joining dual enrollment with Daytona State College which is right across the street. Unfortunately, due to the small amount of students attending this high school, sports can be challenging because the school lacks a wide variety of talent that larger schools have. However, the sports teams work hard to compete with larger schools and they can sometimes come out on top."

"I would like to see an equal respect and dedication from the administration to all sports and the arts. There is a clear bias in favored programs and it is both conspicuous and blatantly advantageous to some groups at the expense of others."

"Great school! Placed in a small community with many young people. Great teachers, they really work with you and a lot of them have changed my life. Awesome school events and sports games."

"Best part was the 4 year TV Production Program, and playing Varsity Soccer for 4 years. Worst Part - school is filled with students and their parents who feel entitled. Students who really were poor role models and doing illegal things were never held accountable for their bad actions and behaviors, but rewarded with numerous scholarships."

"New Smyrna high school is a great school for any child starting off in a charter or private school transitioning into a public school. Most schools make it harder for kids who have not yet attended a public but I found it much easier to transition into new Smyrna high school from the charter school I attended. The administration is SO sweet and very caring upon your education throughout the school years. The only downside is the diversity isn't that wide. The most diversity we have is put on the football field. The school is predominantly a white or Caucasian school."
