"Buchholz has such an inviting and fun atmosphere. The faculty is so caring and are all so intelligent; they encourage their kids to get involved and even sponsor clubs. It was very easy for me to find a group of people that made me feel loved and nurtured."

"Everyone is extremely friendly, in the four years I was in the school I had the pleasure to have not seen or heard of any bullying. However, I would like to see more extra-curricular activities."

"Just like every school, there were problems as well as benefits. I found that most teachers were very nice and supportive of their students. I enjoyed the variety of clubs you could join and the electives you could choose from. I feel, however, that teachers should have to go to some conference or something so they can learn about how to deal with students who have problems such as depression. It is important that the teachers are able to identify behaviors that connect with depression, eating disorders, anxiety, etc. Teachers need to be aware of these signs so that they can get them the help that they need. There have been over 5 suicides reported in my town, all of which were students."

"The feeling of not just being apart of a high school but more of a family is what really did it for me. The majority of the people there are welcoming and will, to the best of their abilities, help you with what you need to get done. My last year there involved a new principle coming in from our rival school, a difficult piece of news for us seniors to digest but he ended up meshing with us pretty well. A few upgrades around campus would be great since some things are outdated but overall Buchholz is a great nurturing environment."
