"Coming to Jeffersontown High School after only attending one school previously was a the best decision for me. I have been given freedom in what I want to learn in a safe place."

"My favorite part of Jeffersontown High School was the teachers . Though not all teachers are perfect, but many teachers there strive to be. The teachers truly care about you and your education, making sure you understand and enjoy learning. I probably could not have made it through high school without all there kindness and understanding that I am an individual and that not everybody learns the same. They went out of there way to do anything for their students. Truly giving and caring people."

"I love how the teachers are so involved in helping every single student. For example, Ashley Drager, 11th grade English teacher, stays multiple days after school and sets up ACT test workshops for students. What I would change about Jeffersontown is the types of students they admit into the school. Many students cause disruptions to the class and burden others who have come to learn"

"My experience at J-town has had many highs and many lows. The teachers at J-town are always willing to help you when you need it, and they are very skilled at what they do. Aside from the terrible restroom facilities and the awful cafeteria food, I believe that J-town is a good school. The manufacturing programs (e.g., machine tool, welding, CADD, etc.) are extremely strong and allow many graduates swift job placement as skilled technical workers. Jtown is also very passionate about its basketball, FBLA, and SkillsUSA teams. Honestly, any school's worth is what you make of it, and J-town is as good a place as any to lay down your roots. J-town has some problems, but for me, the benefits outweighed my concerns. I chose J-town mainly because I wanted to be a big fish in a small pond, and the lack of competition has allowed me to focus more on my education, rather than being #1 in everything. In the end, whether you wither or flourish all depends on you."

"I like how the school is smaller than some of the other schools. Most teachers are very kind and patient and make learning fun."
