"I very much enjoyed the performance activities in which I participated during my time at Hancock County high. It was these activities that helped me decide that I wished to major in theatre, but I do also wish that there more opportunities outside of the standard educational prep paths. I recall there being a preparatory path for business, tech, and medicine (no longer available I believe); other than that there was an option to build your own pathway, but not many classes tailored to that outside of the pre-established which simply made the notion less than appealing."

"The high school is very good about the teachers being on a very personal level with students but is very bad at preparing students for college."

"Hancock County High School is a small town school with great quality teachers. On average, there are about 500 students in the whole school. The staff at Hancock County High School are very polite and generous. The teachers are always willing to lend an extra hand to their students who want/seek the help. The students at Hancock County High School are also vey polite and respectful towards the teachers and staff, or any higher authority. The quality of the coursework is very high, however teachers stick to their textbooks and there is very little improvising. Teachers and almost all students show up and have very high attendance."

"Going to Hancock County High School was a great experience for me. Even thought it is small, you get to know everyone and get to know your teachers better. We offer many classes that will help benefit our interests for our college and future careers."

"Hancock county acedemics are great. They challenge students every day and make us strive to become better for the future. Hancock county high school prepares every student for college. Many students are involved with at least one club or activity, which is great. One thing we don't have much of is diversity. I do believe hancock county does a good job of trying to expose us to different cultures and ways of living. We may not be diverse in culture but we are diverse in activities and sports that students are involved in. All around hancock county is a positive, safe environment and I would recommend this school to anyone striving to become the best they can. It is a small school but offers a lot. My experience here has been great, I would rate it 5 stars."
